Updated
Short answer: drop the picture on ImgToSheet.app, check the table that appears beside it, and click Download .xlsx. It takes a few seconds, works on any phone or computer, and it's free for 10 conversions a day with no sign-up. Try it right here:
Drop, paste or choose a table image or PDF
Or paste a screenshot with ⌘V / Ctrl+V · JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF or PDF
No table to hand?
Add an image or PDF, check the table, then export to Excel, CSV or Google Sheets. No account needed. ImgToSheet.app doesn't store your file; Anthropic's Claude reads the image and deletes it within 30 days. What happens to your file
Step by step
- Add your picture. Drop it on the page, choose a file, take a photo on your phone, or paste a screenshot with ⌘V or Ctrl+V. PDFs work too.
- Check the table. It appears beside your picture. Click any cell to change it; cells you change are marked.
- Download. Get an Excel file or a CSV, or copy the table and paste it straight into Excel or Google Sheets.
From a screenshot
On Windows press Windows+Shift+S, on a Mac ⌘+Control+Shift+4, and drag around the table. Then press Ctrl+V or ⌘V on ImgToSheet.app: there's no need to save the screenshot first. Screenshot to Excel
From a phone photo
Open ImgToSheet.app in your phone's browser, tap Take photo or choose file, and photograph the table. Sideways photos are turned upright for you. Photo to Excel
From a PDF
Choose the PDF and tap the page with the table. ImgToSheet.app opens the PDF in your browser and sends only that page, as an image, so the rest of the file never leaves your device. PDF to Excel
What you get in Excel
- Plain numbers such as 1,250.00 become real numbers you can sum, with their decimals kept.
- Codes with leading zeros, like 00123, stay exactly as written.
- Each table in the picture gets its own sheet, named after the table's title when it has one.
- Prefer another format? Download CSV, or copy the cells into Google Sheets.
Tips for the best result
- Crop to the table. Leave out menus, sidebars and other text.
- Shoot straight on. Hold the phone flat above the page.
- Make the text big enough. Zoom in before you take a screenshot.
- Use even light. Avoid shadows and flash glare, and keep the page flat.
- Long table? Convert it in parts and paste the rows one after another.
How accurate is it?
In ImgToSheet.app's own tests on 8–9 October 2026, a 25-cell screenshot and a sideways phone photo of a 242-cell printed report were both read with no wrong cells. Your table appears beside your picture, so you can confirm any cell at a glance. Full test results
